Postal Addresses

DutyMan provides the option of storing member postal addresses in its database. This information is stored for use by DutyMan subscribers and is not used by DutyMan itself.

In order to store postal addresses in the DutyMan database the Use postal addresses option must be set to Yes. By default this option is set to No. It is automatically set to Yes when you upload a csv file containing postal address columns. Member Upload File Format describes how to upload postal addresses.

You can also set Use postal addresses to Yes or No on the >Set Up >Security and Privacy page

When Use postal addresses is set to Yes postal addresses can be updated by DutyMan Administrators on the >Members >List page. Individual members can see and update their own postal addresses on their >Profile page. Postal addresses are included when downloading member details.

When Use postal addresses is set to Yes you also have the option of making postal addresses visible to all logged-in members on the >Directory page by selecting the the appropriate box on the >Set Up >Security and Privacy page.

If you change Use postal addresses from Yes to No all postal address information is deleted from the DutyMan database. To preserve this information first download member details via the >Download >Members page and then change the Use postal addresses setting.
