On-line Members Directory from DutyMan
One thing is certain, by the time members receive their club yearbook the list of
members' contact details is out of date. People will already have moved, changed
email addresses, or got married - and the yearbook becomes more out of date as time
goes on.
A new on-line feature of DutyMan, the duty management system for sailing clubs,
takes the email and contact details already stored in DutyMan and presents them
as a directory. Club officers and members alike will now be able to look up contact
details including email addresses, phone numbers and, optionally, postal addresses
too.
“At heart DutyMan is all about applying technology to improve intra-club communication,
and the directory is a logical step forward,” says DutyMan's John Barber. “Combined
with DutyMan's existing ability to allow members to update their own details, the
directory can be a valuable resource to supplement, and even replace, printed versions.
The on-line directory will always be more up-to-date, more accessible and much less
expensive.”
Highly configurable including even an ex-directory option, the directory is protected
from prying eyes by DutyMan's security system making it accessible only to bona
fide club members.
