Duty rosters can be a headache for many organisations; clubs,
voluntary groups, and commercial operations.
Duties can be anything from being in charge of an event, doing a round, providing
safety or first-aid cover, coaching, recording results, providing teas, manning
the bar, or clearing up afterwards. Smooth operation depends on people turning up
and completing their duties according to a list of prearranged times and jobs -
the duty roster.
Especially for organisations relying on volunteers, persuading people to commit
to a duty and then turn up to actually do it can take a lot of time. Personal copies
