Populating the Duty Roster
The duty roster is a list of up-coming duties. Each duty may, but need not, have the name of a
member allocated to it.
There are three principle ways to populate the duty roster
- As output from DutyMan duty allocation

If you already have a list of duties in a computer-readable form such as a spreadsheet
or database then you can populate your DutyMan duty roster by using that
information to create a CSV file in
DutyMan format. Then upload that file to DutyMan.
If you do not have a list of duties on a computer in a suitable format then you
can create one by using a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel or a database such
as Microsoft Access.
- By typing in duties via the Duties Update page of the DutyMan administrator's area.
(Recommended for limited numbers of duties only.)
Duty Information
The information that DutyMan supports for each duty includes
- Duty Date
- An Event name
- Duty Type
plus optionally
- The name of the person to whom the duty has been allocated
- A Duty Time
- Instructions specific to the duty
- An email address associated with the duty; usually the address of the person in
charge.
