Data Protection 

  DutyMan is a service of Radix Software which takes very seriously the protection of the data entrusted to it but the reason you give us your data is so that we can show it to people. This document sets out the consequent data protection issues and outlines the data protection options available within DutyMan.

Physical Data Protection
Your data is stored on our own server hosted by Fasthosts. You can read about Fasthost's physical security measures here.

Data Protection Legislation
It is the responsibility of individual clubs to determine whether there are any implications under their country's data protection legislation arising from sharing data with DutyMan and decide on what if any action should be taken. A club may wish to state in its membership documentation that it shares information about its members with a third-party for duty management processing.

People Need to Know
 
An organisaton which subscribes to DutyMan should tell its members that it shares information with a third-party for duty management processing.  It may also wish to refer them to the DutyMan Privacy Statement which sets out our commitment to protecting people's privacy.

Data Protection Options for Individuals
On the DutyMan >Profile page peope can choose to be -

Anonymous
Their name is not shown in the duty roster until a member logs in

Ex-Directory

Their contact details are not shown in the DutyMan Directory and their phone number and email address are not shown in the duty roster

Data Protection Options for DutyMan Administrators
Until a member logs in the only information shown about each member is their name (unless they have chosen to be anonymous in which case their name is not shown). For greater protection consider putting the link from your website to DutyMan inside a members-only area.

The directory of members' contact details is visible to members only when they have logged in. On the >Set Up>Security and Privacy page DutyMan Administrators can choose whether or not to make the directory available, and can select the information to display in it. 

Also on the >Set Up>Security and Privacy page DutyMan Administrators can decide whether to show members' email addresses on the duty roster to logged in members.

Log In Details
DutyMan uses login names and passwords to prevent unauthorised people from accessing data-protected information. All those who use DutyMan should keep their login details secure in order to protect their own and other peoples' data.

Revisions
We reserve the right to change our data protection statement at any time. If we make changes we will indicate the statement's new effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to refer to this statement on an ongoing basis so that you understand our current data protection policy.
